Founder & Director
Syed Ibadath Ali
His journey began selling books on the footpath in Koti, taking stock on credit and settling every account at the end of the day. Through hard work, discipline and trust, he built that modest beginning into Universal Book Showroom, now serving readers through three showrooms.

From bookselling to publishing
Our Journey
Started as a small bookshop with a vision to serve Hyderabad's student community.
Entered the publishing business with its own study materials for students.
Opened a dedicated printing press in Uppal, Hyderabad, bringing production fully in-house.
Formally became SIA Publishers & Distributors Pvt. Ltd., covering engineering, pharmacy, MBA and more.
Expanded into undergraduate textbooks and competitive exam books across Telangana.

The stretch of pavement in Koti where he first sold books now sits directly across from our showroom. Same street, same city, same customers' children and grandchildren.

A few books, taken on credit each morning and paid for each night. No shop, no shelves — only the pavement, long hours and the trust of the bookshop owners who backed him.

That same footpath now sits directly across from the Universal Book Showroom in Koti. The street did not change. The stall became a showroom.
